Why this works.
Cold radish + cold butter + crunchy salt = the most refreshing snack on a hot spring afternoon. The fat tames the radish bite.
Use real butter and good salt. That's the whole trick.
Steps.
- Spread cold butter thick on the bread — like, more than you think.
- Slice the radishes as thin as you can. A mandoline works, but a sharp knife is fine.
- Lay the radish slices on the butter, overlapping a little.
- Sprinkle flaky salt across the top. Generous.
- Eat immediately while everything is cold and crunchy.
Vihaan's tips
- If your radishes are spicy, soak the slices in ice water for 5 min.
- Try with watermelon radishes for color.
- Add chives or dill on top if you have them.
